Skyshade Collector’s Ed by Alex Aster
Release Date: Mid June
Stefen Says: As
with the deluxe editions of the two earlier books in the series, this is a
sprayed edge hardcover with some interion colour plates and suitably fancy
slipcase. We also have limited stock of the collector’s edition of Lightlark and Nightbane.

Shadow
Reaper Special Edition by Lynette Noni
Release Date: Early June
Stefen Says: This
is the sprayed edge hardcover edition of the new release mentioned earlier in
the newsletter. Beyond the sprayed edge and the hardcover format, it’s
basically the same as the trade paperback. It is quite reasonably priced for a
fancy hardcover however.

Unicorn
Hunters by Katherine Arden
Release Date: Early June
Stefen Says: This
is the sprayed edge, hardcover edition of the new stand-alone book by Katherine Arden, which
is featured earlier in the newsletter. I understand that it also features
endpaper art, but I haven’t been able to find any images for it at this stage.
I’m expecting it to be pretty cool though.

To
Snap a Silver Stem by
Sarah A Parker
Release Date: Late June
Stefen Says: This
is the deluxe sprayed edge addition of the second book in Sarah A Parker’s Crystal Bloom series.
It features a sprayed edge, reversible a dust jacket, end paper art, and the
book itself has a silver embossed cover and spine.

We
Are Legion (We Are Bob)
and
For We Are Many
by Dennis E Taylor
Release Date: Early June
Stefen Says: These
are deluxe, sprayed edge editions of the first two books in Dennis E Taylor‘s Bobiverse series, and
what makes the whole thing particularly unusual is that there aren’t currently
any locally available standard editions, making these the only ones we can get.
The series itself has been an internet sensation, with readers raving about the
original self-published versions of the books. The premise is simple, a 21st
century tech boffin, run over and killed in a car accident, wakes up a century
later to find that his neurological tissue had been declared public domain and
used as part of an AI controlling an interstellar probe. His sentience and
awareness were most definitely not intended, and the powers that be would very
much like to remove Bob’s independent mind from their property. Across the five
books, which are all going to be reproduced in similarly fancy style, ideas of
artificial intelligence, consciousness uploads, human space exploration and
alien first contact are all explored cleverly and with a sense of humour. The
rest of the series is scheduled for roughly bimonthly releases with book 5
scheduled for November.
