Parable of the Talents

As many of the folks who came to the discussion of Parable of the Sower mentioned, it ends kind of suddenly. In a sense, it ends with the idea of an Earthseed community, rather than the formation of the actual community. This book explores that community and others that grow from the near-collapse future America. This is going to be interesting to compare to Parable of the Talents, since many of its ideas and characters are challenged or compromised. I’m looking forward to see if there are differences in response to this one and if readers think Octavia Butler has addressed issues they had with the first book.
