Meet the Author: Catherynne Valente

In March this year we hosted a store event and lunch with author Catherynne Valente and everyone agreed that a good time was had by all. After the event Catherynne mentioned that she might be back in Perth around Christmas and could be up for doing it again if we were interested. Needless to say we were, and are.  As it happens Cat is going to be in Perth and we are going to do another store and lunch event. Cat will be in store on Saturday 20^th of December from 11am. She’ll be signing product, doing a reading or two, answering questions and generally being awesome. At about 12-ish we’ll be shifting across the lane to the Generous Squire for lunch and drinkies.

At the moment Cat has only four titles published locally, the Fairyland trilogy and Deathless. We’ll have plenty of copies of these on-hand as well as a selection of US editions of her other books. Stocks of the imported titles will be limited, so pre-orders are advised if there are gaps in your library you absolutely must fill.   The Generous Squire does counter service for drinks and food and as a licensed venue requires under 18’s to be accompanied by an adult. No RSVP is required for the store part of the event, but if you’re intending to stay for lunch we’d appreciate you letting us know so we can arrange an adequate number of tables.
