I was hoping to do more events in 2019, so I’m thrilled to be involved with launching WA author Amanda Bridgeman‘s new book, The Subjugate. It’s a science fiction / crime thriller set in a religious community where violent criminals are neurally ‘edited’ to remove their criminal tendencies and are then returned to serve the community as obedient servants called Serenes. It’s also a community plagued by a recent spate of horrific murders. As the body count rises, two homicide detectives struggle with solving the crime, the insular town and the effect the investigation is having on them.
We’ll have copies of The Subjugate available in store and at the venue and possibly a selection of Amanda‘s other books as well.
This is a free event and no booking is required, though if you’re on Facebook an RSVP on the event page, or an e-mail to mail@stefensbooks.com.au saying you’re planning to attend would help a lot with planning. Also, Durty Nelly’s is a licensed venue so under 18’s will need to be accompanied.
