Book Launch – The Elephant Girl

I’ve been wanting to do some events with local small press and self-published writers for a while now, and the original plan was for that to begin in earnest in 2020. Fate had other ideas however. Still, better late than never. So, on Thursday 14^th of January we’ll be hosting a launch event and having a chat with Chitta Ranjan about his book The Elephant Girl. Set among the social and political turmoil of 1930’s British India in the Princedoms of the Bengal / Assam region at the foot of the Himalayas. It centres around prince Raj Narayan who becomes obsessed with stories of glimpses of a mysterious woman riding a wild elephant and makes surprising and dangerous discoveries as a result.

This is a free event and will be a light interview style with Chitta and Stefen, followed by a Q&A and signing opportunity. We will have copies available on the night.

Durty Nelly’s is a licensed venue, so under 18’s will have to be accompanied by an adult and the venue is also compliant with current contact tracing rules, so attendees are advised to get the SafeWA app to speed entry.
